IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS:

UPGRADATION OF LABORATORIES
• To ensure Central Pool food grains meet prescribed quality & safety specifications, facilities for analyzing presence of pesticide residues, mycotoxin contamination, etc have been upgraded. Physical & Chemical labs were upgraded by renovating the building and procuring equipments in :- • Pesticide Residue & Mycotoxin Analysis lab has been upgraded with:- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography & Mass Spectrophotometry (GC-MS), and Liquid Chromatography & Mass Spectrophotometry (LC-MS)

Special Training Programme For The Officers Deputed By SAARC-Member Countries:
A special 10 days training programme was organized at IGMRI, Hapur on “Foodgrain Testing, Quality Control&Scientific Storage”in Nov-2014. A No of 09 delegates from 5 SAARC member countries namely Nepal,Bhutan,Bangladesh,Srilanka and Maldieves participated in this training programme .
